The short version.
Loudr is a trivia game. It needs very little to work, and it keeps very little. Updated 12 October 2026.
No account
You can play without signing up. Rooms and solo runs use a display name you type, kept in your browser. Nothing identifies you unless you claim an @name.
Your @name
Claiming an @name stores the name, the daily scores you post to the board, your day streak, and a hashed version of the favourite artist you picked. The artist is how you prove it is you on another phone. We cannot read it back; we can only check a guess against it. There is no email, no password and no phone number.
The daily
The daily round is scored on our server, which also decides when each question started, so the board stays fair. Your answers for the day are kept with your @name until the next set, then only the score remains.
Reminders
If you turn on a daily reminder, your browser gives us a push address and you pick an hour. We send one nudge a day, only on days you have not played, and nothing else. Turning it off deletes the address.
Feedback
Feedback and question reports are stored with the page you were on, your browser type, your @name if you have one, and whatever contact you choose to leave. They go to the person making Loudr and nowhere else.
Analytics
We count page views and basic device types with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites. There is no advertising.
Music and artwork
Album covers, track names and 30-second previews come from Apple's iTunes Search API, and artist popularity figures from Deezer. They are shown for the quiz only, with a link back to the source after each reveal. Portraits are original illustrations.
Deleting your data
Email co@magpollo.com from any address with your @name and we will delete the name, its scores and streak, and any reminder address within a few days. Questions about any of this go to the same place.
